South Carolina Farmers Facing Losses From Flooding
South Carolina farmers facing losses caused by massive flooding.
FOX News Radio’s Monica Rix reports:
It’ll be a few more days before flooding starts to subside in South Carolina. But already devastation caused by record rain there is adding up.
Kim Kiser is with Aaron Mountain Farms and says they can’t even get to the fields because of all the rain and mud.
(Kiser) “This is our biggest crop that we grow every year… big part of our income every year.”
Losses to crops alone could top more than $300 million now.
That estimate — coming from the state’s top agriculture official, who’s flown over flooded areas several times this week.
