Titanic Lunch Menu Set For Auction

The last lunch menu aboard the ill-fated Titanic is up for auction more than a century after the ‘unsinkable’ ocean liner went down.

FOX News Radio’s Gurnal Scott reports:

We already knew how it ended, but we still saw the Oscar-winning film – and the scramble to escape…

(“Titanic”) ”The water is freezing and there aren’t enough boats… half of the people on this ship are going to die.//Not the better half.”

One of those first life-boats boarded — by that so-called better half — was called the ‘money boat’. One of its passengers saved the last lunch menu from the ship — containing corned beef, dumplings and other savory fare.

The menu will be auctioned on September 30th — 30 years after the wreckage was discovered. It’s expected to fetch as much as $70,000. A ticket to a Turkish bath on board the ship and a letter written after the sinking will also be auctioned.
