Date Set For Dolly Parton’s TV Movie
Luke Bryan hits No. 1 beating Dr. Dre… Kenny Chesney breaks records and hearts in Jersey and Dolly Parton has a date for her TV special.
FOX News Radio Entertainment Correspondent, Michelle Pollino has the scoop on the Country music stars making headlines this week:
FOX Country.
I’m Michelle Pollino.
You wanna know how hot country music is right now… it’s so hot that Luke Bryan’s latest album, “Kill the Lights” just beat out Dr. Dre’s “Compton”… the companion album from the No. 1 box office smash “Straight Outta Compton” on Billboard’s all-genre Top 200. It also, of course, took No. 1 in the country charts.
Kenny Chesney is now the highest selling country artist in New Jersey, after over 58,000 fans packed MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. That’s the most ever for a country artist. Kenny also broke some hearts as a fan with Down syndrome jumped on stage with Kenny, asking for a kiss… and, the smokin’ superstar obliged!
And, Dolly Parton’s movie about her childhood has a date. NBC announced Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors” will air Thursday, Dec. 10 at 9. “Colors” is based on the country icons’ inspiring true story of her remarkable upbringing.
That’s FOX Country on FOX News Radio.
