FCC Proposes Fine For AT&T Mobility

Ever suspected your cell company was intentionally slowing your smart phone down? Well, the government says… You may have been right. And, they’re taking action.

FOX News Radio’s Kirstin McNary reports:

The Federal Communications Commission proposing a $100 million fine for AT&T Mobility, saying they misled customers with offers of “unlimited” data, only to slow down Internet speeds when they used too much.

AT&T says it’s been “transparent” with customers about how it manages network traffic and it will “vigorously dispute” the agency’s accusations.

The FCC filed a lawsuit against AT&T last fall and said it wants to refund customers who got the unlimited plans, only to suffer through slower than advertised data speeds.
