Nearly A Million More Millionaires

An elite club is gaining members.

FOX News Radio’s Lilian Woo reports:

Nearly a million more people became newly minted millionaires last year. That increase of 920,000 pushing the world’s millionaire population to a record 14.6 million people.

It’s the sixth straight year-over-year increase, thanks to rising stock prices according to a report from consultant Capgemini and RBC Wealth Management.

A third of the new millionaires were in the U.S.

Now, the report also found there’s a one percent among the one percent: those worth $30 million or more, comprising only that fraction, yet holding 35% of all that wealth.
