President Obama Gets His Own Twitter Account
The President is the latest politician to officially join Twitter.
FOX News Radio’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
Hello, Twitter! It's Barack. Really! Six years in, they're finally giving me my own account.

Even though the President already could send out tweets through the @BarackObama account, the White House says he wanted an account of his own. @POTUS will be used as the President as his new Twitter handle.
It’s not clear yet whether the President has snapped up @POTUS for himself, or whether it will be handed down to the next occupant of the Oval Office.
The President’s first tweet: “Six years in, they’re finally giving me my own account.”
The President is following 65 accounts – including those of Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and the Chicago Blackhawks, White Sox and Bears.
