America’s Ebola Response Coordinator Named
President Obama taps a former aide to oversee the federal Ebola response.

Just a day after saying he was considering adding a person to his Ebola response team, President Obama names Ron Klain as the so-called Ebola czar. The White House calling the position an Ebola Response Coordinator — a point person to oversee several agencies with different responsibilities in this effort.
Klain is a former White House appointee. He served as Chief of Staff to both Vice President Al Gore and Vice Prescient Biden.
While he doesn’t have any specific experience in health, this job is seen as managerial.
