Iraq PM Says Plot to Attack Subways in the U.S. and Paris Uncovered
Iraq’s prime minister says his country has uncovered a plot attack to transportation in the U.S. and Paris.
FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers reports:
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi of Iraq says his country’s intelligence operation has learned of a plot for an attack on subway systems in the U.S. and Paris.
He says ISIS is behind the threat, and when asked if the attacks were imminent, he said “yes.”
The prime minister also was asked if the attacks had been thwarted, and he said “no,” saying that the U.S. had been alerted.
Word of the threat comes on the heels of U.S. led airstrikes in Syria.
