There’s some backlash after a young boy in Ohio is punished by his school for pointing his finger like a gun in the direction of a fellow student.

FOX News Radio’s Lilian Woo explains:

A principal at a central Ohio school suspending a 10 year-old for three days for pretending his finger was a gun and pointing it at another student’s head– in a way the school district called ‘kind of execution style’.

But the boy’s father says it’s adults who are behaving childishly. The 5th grader at the Devonshire Alternative Elementary– who’d never been in trouble before, says he was just playing around. But, the school district telling the Columbus Dispatch– the principal had repeatedly warned students about pretend gun play numerous times this year.

Many schools around the country have adopted zero-tolerance policies following school shootings.
