Art – First Cows, Now Pianos Invade New York
by Albert Malafronte
The Sing for Hope organization promotes a motto of ‘arts activism in action’, and today on 44th street, they unveiled one of 60 pianos that will be scattered throughout the streets of New York City as part of its ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’ campaign. Each piano is painted uniquely by one of the non-profit organization’s many volunteers, and encourages all members of the New York community to tickle the ivories anywhere from Time Square to Lincoln Center … passers-by relished the opportunity.
