FOX Wheels: A Big Problem For Mini-Cars
When mini means a big problem… And a “cool” truck with “smooth” lines.
FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper has our weekly look at all things automotive in “FOX Wheels“:
It’s FOX Wheels.
It could be the difference between a band-aid or a hospital ride.
While big cars can usually handle the front corner slamming into another car or tree. Mini-car crashes could mean maxi-damage. It’s the latest segment to undergo the new test by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Eleven cars tested. Spokesman Russ Rader says the Chevy Spark was tops with an “acceptable” rating. The Honda Fit and Fiat 500 were the worst.
(Rader) “If fuel economy and safety are important to you, you might want to step up one size class and look at small cars.”

A Canadian company had some fun with it.
(Vanilla Ice) “Ice ice baby…”
Canadian Tire had a truck made out of ice for an ad campaign about the toughness of its new battery.
They used a 2005 GMC Sierra Chassis drove it a mile and are waiting to hear from Guinness about a possible record.
But, like the witch in “The Wizard of Oz”…
(‘Wizard of Oz’) “I’m melting, melting.”
The truck is now a memory.
