Jimmie Johnson Takes The Cup
NASCAR’s final race of its 2013 season ends with history being made yet again by Jimmie Johnson — who takes yet another cup series title.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports from Homestead-Miami Speedway:
Jimmie Johnson takes another one:
“And here he comes, champion for the sixth time, it’s Jimmie Johnson!”
As heard on ESPN, just one short of the current record of seven. Something Johnson thinks could be attained:
Johnson: “I feel like this team is capable of a lot of great things and there’s still great years out ahead of us.”
He successfully kept away runner-up Matt Kenseth:
Kenseth: “Jimmie woulda got a flat or something, that woulda been okay there then too (laughs). Jimmie and that team are just obviously unbelievable.”
Denny Hamlin winless all season, took the victory lane for the race.
