FOX on Tech: Twitter Emergency Service
Twitter announces a new service to deliver emergency text alerts.
FOX News Radio’s Chris Foster explains:
FOX on Tech.
Users can sign up for Twitter and text message alerts from around a hundred agencies, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Centers for Disease Control and the Red Cross. You choose which ones you want to receive. The alerts will have a little orange bell icon to set them apart from regular tweets. You have to share your phone number of course to get the text messages.
