Over 2 Million Dehumidifiers Recalled Over Fire Hazards
Twelve brands of dehumidifiers are being recalled over serious risks of fire.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:
More than 2 million dehumidifiers are being recalled.
(Davis) “The problem is that these dehumidifiers can overheat, smoke and catch fire.”
The Consumer Product Safety Commission‘s Patty Davis says the dehumidifiers made by Gree Electric carry the brand names…
(Davis) “Danby, De’Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir, and SuperClima.”
46 fires and over $2 million in property damage have been linked to the recalled dehumidifiers sold in the U.S. since 2005. No injuries. Consumers are urged to unplug immediately and contact Gree for a full refund.
