Hired! Part-Time Work
Looking for some part-time work but don’t know where to begin?
FOX Business Network’s Cheryl Casone has some tips in this edition of “Hired!”:
Getting you “Hired!”… part-time… I’m Cheryl Casone with the FOX Business Network.
Bus drivers work around 26 hours a week, you need a commercial drivers license plus there are vision and hearing tests involved. You need to like kids, and the hours are usually early or late.
Tutors can make up to $30 an hour. A high school degree is usually required if you are teaching that age group, but college work and degrees sometimes are required. Check out the American Tutoring Association for more information.
Flight attendants need a two year degree for the larger carriers, and you do need a few weeks of safety training. Average work week is 20 hours. You need a little personality and don’t be afraid to fly.
Dance teachers can make $15-$24 an hour, in studios, retirement facilities, resorts, even on cruise ships! You should like working with teenagers and young kids.
Yoga instructors usually require months or years of training, and work at least six hours a week. It’s a great position if you want to work other jobs, or just enjoy something part-time and fun.
