The vegan diet... it's gaining popularity... but is it a do or a don't when it comes to your health?

Vegan diets are becoming more popular, but dietitians say proceed with caution. A vegan diet includes only plant-based foods, no eggs, dairy, or animal products of any kind. And although studies show vegans have a lower risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer. They're also more prone to nutritional deficiencies like iron, zinc, calcium and other vitamins vital for body function.
