Housecall for Health: Multiple Sclerosis Breakthrough

Housecall

A medical breakthrough that could help those who are suffering from multiple sclerosis.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in this edition of “Housecall for Health”:

A breakthrough discovery may mean a new treatment for multiple sclerosis. Phase one of the first clinical trial, at Northwestern University resulted in curtailing attacks on the immune system by myelin, the protein that causes debilitating MS symptoms, by as much as 75%.

If further trials produce the same results, it could be the first MS treatment that specifically targets affected areas of the immune system, keeping the rest strong and intact.
