Steep Cost Of Attending A Wedding

    Heading into the start of wedding season, those planning on attending the event may want to know before they RSVP that even having a role on the sidelines could come with a large price tag.

    FOX News Radio’s Bill Vitka reports:

    We all know that planning a wedding can run up a bill, but even attending a wedding can be pricey: more than $500.

    The typical wedding guest will spend about $167 on travel, $161 on clothes, and $108 on a wedding gift. That doesn’t take into account what people close to the bride and groom will pay… tack on another $577.

    For the rest of us, the average bill to watch them to say “I do” is $200 a year more than it was one year ago.
