Boston Marathon Bombing Suspects Targeted NYC’s Times Square
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Thursday that Times Square was the next target for the brothers who are accused of setting off pressure cooker bombs at the Boston Marathon.

Bloomberg: “We were informed by the FBI that the surviving attacker revealed that New York City was next on their list of targets. He told the FBI apparently that he and his brother had intended to drive to New York and detonate additional explosives in Times Square.”
This new information was given to New York City officials by the FBI and comes from the surviving suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly called Times Square a “spontaneous target” for the duo. The decision to drive to NYC was made on the fly in order to detonate the remaining explosives. This plan was interrupted in Boston by police.

Kelly: “Up until that point, the two brothers had at their disposal six improvised explosive devices. One was a pressure cooker bomb similar to the two that had exploded at the marathon. The other five were pipe bombs.”
Editor’s Note: A Senior law enforcement official tells FOX News any talk from the suspects of NYC was “aspirational at best”.
