Grounded: Blue Angels Canceled by Budget Cuts
The effects of the sequester budget cuts is kicking in, and it means you can forget about seeing the Blue Angels performing anytime soon.

And there are no bigger crowd pleasers than the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels. They’ve been thrilling crowds at aerial displays for more than 60 years, but due to Federal budget cuts, the Commander of Naval Air Forces has announced that the elite demonstration team’s entire 2013 season has been scratched.
Not only do these Angels entertain, they inspire. The planes and the pilots – often graduates of the Navy’s famous TOPGUN air tactics school – are a great recruiting tool.
