Frozen Food Recall Expands
A company that’s recalled 10 million pounds of frozen foods says nearly 1/3 may still be in the marketplace, including some school cafeterias.
FOX News Radio’s Lisa Brady has details:
The recall by Buffalo, New York-based Rich Products was prompted by an E. coli outbreak; more than two dozen illnesses reported in 15 states. The outbreak strain directly linked, so far, to two products sold under the Farm Rich brand: frozen mini pizza slices and frozen chicken quesadillas.
But the recall now covers everything made at a company plant in Georgia. Rich estimates about three million pounds may still be in the marketplace, and 300,000 pounds may have ended up in school lunchrooms. So far, no known link to any illnesses in schools.
