Is gun control legislation stalled before it even starts? The Senate is back from their Spring break and considering the first weapons measures since the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
FOX News Radio's Jared Halpern has the latest from Washington:
A handful of Republican senators warn they'll oppose any legislation with addition gun restrictions, threatening to block, if necessary, a Motion to Proceed. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid calling the threat shameful.
(Sen. Reid) "When they encounter an issue that they're afraid to debate in full public view, they want to thwart debate altogether."
The centerpiece to the Democratic legislation is a universal background check for all gun purchases. The NRA objects, calling it a national gunowner registry.
