Dr. Drew: So Little Of Our Pandemic Response Was Scientifically Based

Dr. Drew Pinsky, Board Certified Internist, Addiction Medicine Specialist, TV Host & Podcaster joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss the overall effectiveness of our pandemic response as President Biden is set to lift the Covid-19 emergency declarations in May.

Dr. Drew skewered the United States’ pandemic response saying,

“Well, so little of this pandemic was scientifically based. We’ve learned, if nothing else, we’ve learned how difficult it is for bureaucracies to change direction.”

Pinsky added,

“But one of the most startling things I learned and I really had to convince me of this I had to hear it from multiple sources, was how arbitrary so much of this pandemic response was pulled out of blue sky, six feet. Do you know where that came from? Six feet distancing. Completely out of the blue. They were trying to decide between three feet and 60 feet. There was no evidence for anything. The term social distancing didn’t really exist. They just said, well, we’ll get them to comply with six feet. Let’s do that with no evidence completely. I’ve talked to doctors that were in the room and the decision making was underway. They were like, What? What do you do? What are we doing here? And almost everything, all the excesses, all the overreach has had that same quality.”
