Remembering Etta James [VIDEO]

Legendary Blues Singer Etta James has died after a battle with Leukemia.  She was 73 years-old.

FOX News Radio’s Sabrina Sabbagh looks back on her life:

(Music) We all know Etta James for her soulful voice and mix of Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll, and Jazz.  But long before she skyrocketed to fame, a very young Etta was making music.  By the age of 14, she had formed a doo-wop group, and has been cranking out music ever since.

(Music) She’s released 30 albums and 58 singles, but her life was a struggle.  The singer was addicted to heroin during the 60’s and 70’s, but got clean and rebuilt her career, going on to win six Grammys.

(Music) Rolling Stone ranked James number 22 on their list of the 100 greatest singers of all time.  She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. James died after her chronic Leukemia was declared incurable.
