Sen. Steve Daines: “Temper Tantrum” Texas Democrats Are “On An Eight Grade School Trip”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) said the Texas Democrats that left for DC were having a “hissy fit” and are acting like they are on a “eight grade school trip.”
“We all saw these pictures of this jailbreak they had in Texas coming to DC. It’s sad, instead of serving Texans, doing their jobs in the legislature on the taxpayer’s nickel, these reps are acting like they’re on their eighth grade school trip to Washington, DC. The only difference was, I don’t know about your eighth grade trip, but we didn’t have beer on the bus. If you’re an eighth grader on a bus, you’ve got to be wearing a mask, by the way, the TSA is saying that they’re going to keep that mask enforcement in place until the middle of September. But what’s this temper tantrum all about? Texas is trying to do a couple of really smart, common sense things that makes it easier to vote and harder to cheat. What are the two things to trying to do, put in photo ID requirements to vote and then they want to eliminate these temporary COVID provisions allowing a 24-hour basically drive through voting? Yeah, we don’t want to have. And by the way, over 70% of the American people agree that having a photo ID requirement to vote is the right thing to do. That’s what these Texan legislators are having such a hissy fit about.”
