Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX): After Trump’s Acquittal, Democrats “Have Lost Their Boogeyman”

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) discusses what Democrats were trying to accomplish with the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump & who is really behind some of the policies behind the executive orders of President Biden.

“I really do think that some of them were so delusional that they thought that they would get enough RINO Senators to jump in with them and vote for conviction. And then some of them, I think, just wanted to continue this fight against Donald Trump as long as they could draw it out. Every day that they’re talking about Donald Trump is one less day that we’re talking about the Joe Biden failed policies and broken promises. So I don’t know what they’re going to do now that they’ve lost their boogeyman. But I suspect they’ll still find a reason to bash the former President and make it about Trump if they possibly can. But I’d love to see us get back to work and actually get something done.”

“I don’t even know who’s driving this agenda. I have a feeling if I could be in a room with Joe Biden privately, just the two of us, and if he was honest with me, he would tell me that we’ve got no business bringing 25,000 refugees into the country until we get this virus under wraps. But then he’d follow that up with, ‘But I got these far left crazies that are running the show that I’ve got to throw a bone at. And this is a start.’ And it’s a real shame that that’s what the Democratic Party has become and what this Joe Biden White House is trending toward.”
