Obesity-related health problems are on the rise in the U.S., and the American Academy of Pediatrics says they know how to help stop it. The AAP is proposing that all fast-food commercials should be banned from television. They have reason to believe getting rid of fast food ads could decrease obesity by 17%.
In April, government agencies set voluntary guidelines for marketing food to children, but the AAP says it is time for the industry to clean up its act with a complete ban.
