On day two of his confirmation hearing, U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has been facing questions on presidential power, gun violence and women’s rights.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham asked about Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion nationwide:

(Kavanaugh) “In this context, this is precedent that’s been reaffirmed many times over 45 years.”

Democrat Dianne Feinstein asked Judge Kavanaugh: Can a sitting U.S. President be ordered to comply with a subpoena?:

(Kavanaugh) “Each of the eight justices currently sitting on the Supreme Court when they were sitting in my seat declined to decide potential hypothetical cases.”

Judge Kavanaugh went on to praise United States versus Nixon in 1974 when the justices unanimously decided to require former President Nixon to hand over the tapes.
