Anne Frank Halloween Costume Pulled after Social Media Uproar

    Every Halloween has its share of tasteless costumes. One’s being pulled from a retailer’s website after complaints.

    An Anne Frank costume is removed from HalloweenCostumes.com. The picture’s a smiling girl in World War II era looking clothes and a beret.

    It came to the attention of people on social media, who say the costume trivializes Anne Frank’s memory as a holocaust victim.

    A spokesman for the company that owns the website Fun.com, based in Minnesota, says it’s off the website now, apologizing for any offense.

    But he points out they sell costumes for activities other than Halloween like school projects and plays.
