Pentagon: Another Missile Test Will Be Conducted
The Pentagon says it will conduct another missile test soon in the wake of North Korea’s long range missile test.
FOX’s Lucas Tomlinson has the details from the Pentagon:
The Coast Guard says the test will happen this weekend in Kodiak, Alaska. The second time this month the U.S. missile Defense Agency will test the THAAD anti-ballistic missile system from that location.
In the last test, THAAD destroyed a medium range ballistic missile high above the Pacific. THAAD is a perfect 14 for 14 in missile tests.
On July 4, North Korea launched it’s first intercontinental ballistic missile flying 1,700 miles into space, seven times higher than the international space station. It has the ability to hit Alaska.
U.S. intelligence recently named North Korea’s new missile, the KN-20.
