President Trump’s Close to Decision on Paris Climate Agreement
President Trump says he’ll have an announcement soon, on whether the U.S. will depart the Paris Climate Accord.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from the White House:
Sources have told FOX News the President is expected to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris Climate agreement, though no final decision has been made.
Press Secretary Sean Spicer says President Trump has heard a lot of opinions:
(Spicer) “He’s consulted with foreign leaders, but he’s also talked with industry leaders. He’s had a lot of input, and ultimately he’ll make the decision.”
Nearly 200 countries, including the U.S. and China have signed on the climate change accord, vowing a sharp reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
As a candidate, President Trump promised to back away from the deal.
