“Beast Mode” is Back: RB Marshawn Lynch Inks Deal with Raiders, Comes out of Retirement
The Oakland Raiders acquired running back Marshawn Lynch on Wednesday in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. The Raiders send their fifth pick of the 2018 draft to Seattle in exchange for Lynch and Seattle ships back their sixth round draft pick for 2018.
Lynch, 31, was the No. 12 pick of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills and went to Seattle in 2011. Lynch retired after the 2015 season after injuries limited him to seven games.
Despite being retired all of last season, the Oakland native sits in seventh in rushing touchdowns since being drafted. The deal is reportedly for two years, worth a maximum of $8.5 million.
