President Trump Believes Health Care Reform Will Pave the Way for Tax Reform
President Trump is still optimistic that they’ll be able to repeal and replace ObamaCare.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
The President told the FOX Business Network that Republicans didn’t fail on health care, and that they’re still negotiating. He also said tax reform will come after a repeal and replace plan is worked out:
(President Trump) ”We’re going to have a phenomenal tax reform. But I have to do health care first. I want to do it first to really do it right.”
House Republicans pulled the American Health Care Act after it failed to get enough Republican support.
Before leaving for Easter recess, lawmakers started discussing an amendment creating high risk pools that would cover Americans with pre-existing conditions.
