President Trump Signs Bill that Gives NASA $19.5 Billion for Missions

President Trump officially allocates money for NASA, adding a plan to send humans to another planet.

    FOX’s Eben Brown reports:

NASA has been reauthorized by President Trump for the current budget year, and is directed to spend a lot of money on a mission to one day send Americans to Mars.

A martian landing has been part of the space agency’s long-term goals ever since the George W. Bush administration, though intermediate steps had been adjusted by the Obama White House.

The 2017 bill allocates $19.5 billion to the space agency, but the President plans to reduce it by roughly $400 million next year. NASA’s allocation this year is less than half-a-percent of this year’s federal budget.
