The country community is coming together to honor Merle Haggard as the anniversary of his death nears. Music’s biggest stars will gather to celebrate Haggard life and his contribution to country music with a huge concert hosted by Haggard’s family and Willie Nelson.
“Sing Me Back Home: The Music Of Merle Haggard” will take place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena April 6, which would’ve been Haggard’s 80th birthday. The concert features performances from Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, John Mellencamp, Dierks Bentley, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams Jr., the Avett Brothers, Kacey Musgraves, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lucinda Williams, Ben Haggard and more.
Tickets for the event go on sale March 3 and for those that cannot attend the show, it will be filmed and distributed to several outlets at a later date.
And Colt Ford is back with a new album, ‘Love Hope Faith’, his sixth studio effort will be released May 5.
