Iran Tests Ballistic Missile in Defiance of UN Resolution

Iran conducted a secret test launch of a ballistic missile over the weekend.

FOX’s Lucas Tomlinson has this FOX News exclusive from the Pentagon:

Two U.S. officials tell FOX, Iran launched a medium-range ballistic missile from a well-known test site 140 miles east of Tehran on Sunday. It’s the first Iranian ballistic missile launch since President Trump took office.

The launch is a likely violation of UN Resolution 2231, which went into effect days after the landmark nuclear agreement, which calls on Iran not to conduct ballistic missile tests.

The launch occurred outside Semnan in Northern Iran. The Khorramshahr Missile traveled 600 miles before exploding in a failed test of a reentry vehicle, according to officials.
