Teen Accepted At Four Military Academies
A Virginia teenager accomplishes a rare feat, a grand slam in U.S. military academy acceptances.
FOX’s Carmen Roberts reports:
It’s tough enough to get accepted to one U.S. military academy, but four, it’s a rare quad-fecta:
(Park) “Honestly, I would say it’s almost a miracle.”
The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy and the Coast Guard Academy, all granting admission to Timothy Park from Fairfax County, Virginia:
(Park) “I’m feeling, just absolutely amazed right now. It’s like so exciting.”
It’s on par with getting into four Ivy League schools with one more requirement, a Congressional recommendation, except for the Coast Guard.
The 18-year-old says he feels a call of duty, extending back to his grandfather:
(Park) “He had a debt of honor that he wanted to repay.”
Right now, West Point’s his top pick, but:
(Park) “I’m still keeping my options open.”
But wherever Park decides to attend his four-year tuition is free.
