Kansas City Man Who Would Rather Be in Prison than Married Appears in Court

A man has chosen prison bars over marriage vows.

    FOX’s Rich Denison reports:

After robbing a Kansas City, Kansas, bank last September, 70-year-old Lawrence Ripple sat in the lobby with his $3,000 haul, telling a guard that he was the guy he was looking for.

Ripple told investigators he’d rather spend time in prison than be at home with his wife. His wife was with him in court yesterday when he entered a guilty plea to federal bank robbery charge.

He faces up to 20 years in prison.
