McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast Isn’t Such A Hit After All

All day breakfast may not be enough fuel for McDonald’s to keep growing.

    FOX’s Lisa Brady reports:

Fourth quarter results for McDonald’s beat Wall Street estimates, but sales at stores open at least a year in the U.S., fell more than one percent and the company says the big breakfast boost in the previous fourth quarter is part of the problem…

The launch of the popular breakfast change in the Fall of 2015 is credited with a nearly six-percent surge in same-store sales for that fourth quarter and a continued boost in 2016.

But that change was part of a longer-term turnaround strategy. That also includes faster service, hormone-free chicken and selling restaurants to franchisees.

McDonald’s revenue has fallen for ten-straight quarters to just over $6 billion.
