Toyota Recalls Thousands of Prius’
Toyota is recalling hundreds of thousands of Prius hybrid cars over faulty breaks.
FOX’s Jeff Monosso has the story:
340,000 Toyota Prius’ are being recalled in Japan and North America for a defect in their parking brakes where the cable can disengage, causing the brakes to stop working properly.
So if the Prius is left in any gear, other than park, it could start rolling away and possibly crash.
Toyota says it has gotten reports of crashes, injuries and deaths. Though the automaker isn’t sharing details, saying it’s still looking into the reports.
Part of that recall includes 94,000 Toyota Prius’ here in North America.
