Samsung Issues Update for Galaxy Note 7
Cooling off some hot phones.
FOX’s Rich Denison reports:
Samsung is updating its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones for those who haven’t yet heeded the worldwide recall on the devices.
The recall was issued after dozens of the phones overheated or caught fire, with those with the phones advised not to charge or use them. A software update announced by Samsung is designed to keep the phones from recharging beyond 60%, and should reduce the risk of fire for those still using them.
The company will soon roll out new Note 7’s with batteries Samsung says won’t overheat.
