How much are Americans willing to pay to the cause of climate change?
The answer from FOX's Jack Callaghan:
Most Americans are willing to pay more to fight global warming, but a new survey finds only a little bit more.
The AP/NORC survey says a majority of people wouldn't mind paying an extra dollar a month on their electric bill for cleaner energy, but as the cost goes up, support for it plummets.
When the amount hits $10 a month, the majority of those asked, said no. Global climate change remains a partisan issue, 84% of Democrats and more than half the independents say its something to government needs to address, but only 43% of Republicans feel that way.
The survey was paid for by the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago.
