Small Town Elects Dog as Mayor
A little town in Minnesota has some big love for its mayor, a dog named Duke.
FOX’s Jill Nado explains:
Cormorant Township is a small town in Minnesota with a big guy for mayor. It’s Duke the dog, a great white Pyrenees, who’s featured on several billboards promoting the town:
(Sorenson) “He likes all the publicity and he’s got to be the picture child of our village.”
Steve Sorenson is a town supervisor, who says Duke’s been elected for the third time in a row by a write in vote for the ceremonial job. But could Duke get in on the race for the White House?:
(Sorenson) “Yeah, that would be something.”
Of course, Duke could probably literally out run both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
