Hello From the Other Side: Adele Turns Down Super Bowl Halftime Gig

Adele turns down a “you have arrived” type of gig, although the NFL says that the pop superstar was never offered it.

FOX’s Jacquelyn Karl reports: 

Adele turned down preforming at the 2017 Super Bowl, one of the highest profile gigs in the world. Adele told the crowd at her L.A. show Saturday she was asked to do the Super Bowl halftime show saying:

(Adele) “But I’m not doing the Super Bowl… Well come on, I mean come on, that show is not that music… I don’t really dance or anything like that. So they were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no.”

She said maybe she’d do it after completing her next album. Adele’s never made it a secret she suffers from a bad case of stage fright.

The singer also squashing rumors she’s with child, saying she’s just eating a lot of cheese.

However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time.”
