Motown Icon’s Cruisin’ to Library of Congress
A Motown legend is being honored by the Library of Congress.

The U.S. Library of Congress is honoring legendary Motown singer Smokey Robinson with the Gershwin prize for popular song…
(Robinson) “So take a good look at my face.”
The prize was named for the songwriting duo of George and Ira Gershwin. Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson and Stevie Wonder were all honored in the past with the award.
The 76-year-old singer and songwriter was responsible for some of Motown’s biggest hits like the “Tracks of My Tears” and “I Second That Emotion” and “Being With You.”
Robinson will receive the prize later this year.
