Voter Confidence is Key Amid Clinton Email Scandal

The countdown to the political conventions is underway, but Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump are off the campaign trail this Independence Day. Clinton spent part of the holiday weekend dealing with her email scandal.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Clinton spent more than three hours meeting with FBI agents Saturday and later told MSNBC:

(Clinton) ”I was pleased to have the opportunity to assist the department as it brings its review to a conclusion.”

Trump wasted no time responding on Twitter, saying it was just announced by sources that no charges will be brought against “crooked” Hillary Clinton.

Clinton supporters took to the Sunday shows, trying to build voter confidence ahead of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, now three weeks away. The GOP will meet in Cleveland two weeks from now.

Both candidates are narrowing the field of possible running mates.
