’90s Nostalgia: Kennedy Goes Loco For Lollapalooza

Festival season is just around the corner, and without Lollapalooza, many fan-favorite events wouldn’t exist. Debuting in 1991, the four-day extravaganza originally served as the farewell tour for Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction. Over thirty years later, music-loving youngsters make the pilgrimage to Chicago’s Grant Park to bask in the glory of their favorite acts.

Former senior editor of Guitar World magazine, executive editor of Guitar Aficionado magazine, and co-author of Lollapalooza: The Uncensored Story of Alternative Rock’s Wildest Festival, Richard Bienstock joins Kennedy to discuss the new book and reminisce about the festival’s early years and ’90s alternative rock.

P.S. You can also catch a little bit of Kennedy if you make it far enough into the book!
