The DNC Heads To Chicago, So Will The Protests

The Democratic National Convention kicks off tonight in Chicago Illinois, as Democrats hope for a reset with their new nominee for President, Vice President Kamala Harris. Protesters have also followed the Democrats to Chicago, with anti-Israel demonstrations planned throughout the week within the city. Democrats will have to contend with protests outside the arena, while trying to push forward with the Vice President’s new economic plan, which has some critics calling her a ‘socialist’. Co-Anchor of America’s Newsroom, Bill Hemmer, joins the Rundown to discuss what voters can expect from the DNC, what the Vice President needs to do to set herself apart from President Biden, and how protests could impact the event.

According to the latest FOX News poll, 87% consider the situation at the southern border an ’emergency’ or a ‘major problem’. Former President Donald Trump has made the migration crisis a major focus of his campaign and has attacked Vice President Kamala Harris and the Biden Administration’s record on the issue. FOX News Washington-based correspondent Griff Jenkins has covered the U.S.-Mexico border for over a decade and joins the Rundown to explain how the crisis has evolved over the years and what has changed since the Trump administration left. Jenkins is also the host of the new FOX Nation special, “Fentanyl: America’s Quiet Killer,” where he looks at how the deadly drug is smuggled into the country and sold to Americans. Griff discusses what he learned while making the special and the lasting effects the fentanyl has on American families
