Self-Checkout Under Attack in CA

In an effort to combat theft, California lawmakers consider a bill to remove self-checkout lanes.

Here’s an idea, actually prosecute thugs and you won’t need to crack down on checkout lanes!

Retail theft is a nationwide problem but is noticeably worse in blue areas and it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out why.

You take the looting passed off as “justice” in 2020 and add in felon coddling policies, you get a shoplifters paradise.

But instead of striking to the core of the REAL problem, lawlessness, California lawmakers are instead considering a bill to remove self-checkout lanes from grocers and certain other retailers.

Some stipulations are that no more than 2 self-checkout stations be assigned to any one employee and that employee must have no other duties beyond babysitting those stations.

That’s great and all, but if this is to cut down on theft, that’s not gonna do the trick.

If someone decides to steal anyway and is not given any real consequences for it, what difference does it make how many employees you have watching?!

Law and order is the answer, not removing self-checkout for the rest of us.
