Evening Edition: Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapses After Being Hit By Freighter
An active search and rescue operation continues after Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge was struck by a freighter in the middle of the night causing the bridge span to collapse. At least six people, thought to be part of a construction crew working on the bridge at the time of the collapse, remain unaccounted for. Maryland’s Governor Wes Moore declared a state of emergency with the the Port of Baltimore being one of the nation’s largest shipping hubs.
